Sequana-Regular Sequana — A Vintage Old-Style Serif

Family

Sequana-Regular

Description

Sequana takes its cue from early printed books and antiquarian title pages. It's a vintage old-style serif with humanist proportions, gently bracketed serifs, and the slight irregularity of letters cut by hand. The contrast is moderate, the looped Q tail and open bowls give it warmth, and a faint ink-bloom roughness keeps it off the sterile end of the spectrum. The font sets cleanly at small sizes and gains presence as it grows, so one weight covers a chapter opener and the text beneath it. Use it for book and journal covers, masthead logotypes, poetry and editorial layouts, wine and spirits labels, restaurant menus, certificate and invitation typography, museum and exhibition graphics, and heritage branding. Features: - uppercase & lowercase (A–Z, a–z); - numerals, punctuation & symbols; - matched quotation marks; - currency & reference marks ($ € £ ¥ © ®); - hand-tuned kerning with even spacing; - 105 glyphs total.
